In these paintings there is almost a loving touch, an engagement with a materiality of water colour and perception of nature.

 

                 

 

           

 

Her floral direction constantly edges the surface of the painting with a sheer sweetness of colour which demonstrates the artist's innermost feelings.

 

               

 

           

 

A major exhibition of the artist's work, together with her mentor the late North London artist Edmund Perini, is planned for the Spring of 1999 and the balance of Perini's immensely powerful style linked to the delicacy of Valerie's watercolours, shall prove to be an exciting adventure in the artistic world.
